I recently had the amazing good fortune of being asked by a hot-shot New York agent to send her the first 25 pages of my memoir after she heard me read a 3 minute excerpt. She then asked me to submit the next hundred pages. I was thrilled, and beyond excited. But now I'm playing the waiting game. It's been two months, which I thought was a long time until I read a recent blog of a current best-selling author who said her agent responded to her eighteen months after her submission!

Why am I telling you this? Firstly to share some of the ups and downs in a writer's life. Secondly to let you know that this has put my latest Gulfport mystery on hold. So for those who've asked when it's coming out, I hope you too can practice patience. Brief Updates

Gulfport ReadOut was a spectacular success. Lesléa Newman was amazing and all our visiting authors were extremely well-received. The events were packed out! If you'd like to volunteer for next year's event, let me know.
