Almighty and everlasting God, who in the Paschal mystery established the new covenant of reconciliation: Grant that all who have been reborn into the fellowship of Christ's Body may show forth in their lives what they profess by their faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

This Sunday is the Second Sunday in Easter. Easter continues with narratives of the risen Christ. In Eastertide, we read from the Book of Acts as a way of remembering that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead also continued to work through those who followed him. In our gospel reading, John tells us how Jesus appeared to Thomas in order to confront his doubt and assure his belief. We return to our regular schedule.

Children's Eucharist in the Loring Room--  Sunday at 10:00, Fr. Dan will celebrate Eucharist for the children of our parish. This includes Atrium and Elementary children.

Adult Forum in Eastertide begins this Sunday at 11:45. During the season of Easter (through June 2nd), Adult Forum will be exploring different celebrations and practices that shape our understanding of the Paschal Mystery. This week we will explore the Jewish "mikveh" and its relation to Baptism and the Easter Vigil.

Words for Lent Thanks to all who have taken part in and have contributed to our Lenten Devotional Drive. The books we collected will be delivered to SSYP on Tuesday of this week in the afternoon. Please contact Marilyn Crone if you are available to join in the delivery. Children are welcome!

The Presiding Bishop is coming! Presiding Bishop Michael Curry, famed for his homily at the most recent royal wedding, will be in Boston next weekend. Confirmands and youth are invited to meet the PB on Saturday at 1:30 (meet at noon at the Waban T station), and at 5:00 pm on Saturday, Bishop Curry will hold a "Way of Love" rally on the Boston Common.

See you Sunday! peace, Jay+
The Vestry is excited to announce a capital campaign for the renovation of Good Shepherd's downstairs space, called "Building on the Sure Foundation." The kitchen, the two restrooms, the first and second grade classroom, and the nursery will be rejuvenated. The two restrooms will also be made handicapped accessible.
Please join us on Sunday, May 12th, during coffee hour, to see the work that we are undertaking. Our goal for this effort is to raise $75,000. Please consider prayerfully what you can give, and please make your gift in May or June of this year.
This joyful Eastertide! Thanks to everyone who worked, volunteered, and worshipped with us at the Easter Vigil and on Easter Sunday. Enjoy a few pictures.
SPECIAL EUCHARIST ON GOOD SHEPHERD SUNDAY, MAY 12th

Good Shepherd Sunday, the fourth Sunday of Easter, falls on Mother's Day this year. To celebrate, children and youth will help lead us in a Rite II service at 10:00, much like what they use on Sundays when they celebrate Children's Eucharist.
Crown him with many crowns,
the Lamb upon his throne;
Hark!
how the heavenly anthem drowns
all music but its own.

Awake, my soul and sing
of him who died for thee,
and hail him as thy matchless King
through all eternity.
