Submitting for Tina because she’s made some hot things this month! I took pics and helped eat it.

I co-led a 3 day workshop bringing together about 8 folks from my org in the Bay Area and collaborating with folks from an org based in Zurich in their home turf.
During this adventure, on my off-time, I co-paddled a boat on Lake Zurich on a beautiful spring day.

🐉 Supper of Thrones
—–Things I Ate
So there's this show called Game of Thrones that is in its final season. People like this show. I was not one of these people. However, things change, people change too, and I have watched the last season of the said show and am now joining in the hysteria of the final season with the rest of the world. Alaka'i hosted a dinner party for the season premiere in which he made individualized menus for each person. Everyone brought a dish themed after the show. Alaka'i's pup, Chiqui, even joined in with her own dragon costume.

⛵️ Liholiho Yacht Club
—–Things I Ate
Maia and Matt booked this reservation a month in advance which allowed them to acquire a seating time before 9 pm—which is unheard of. We got about 10 dishes to share amongst the table, each of them better than the last. My favorite was this katsu asparagus with a kim chi relish. This place never disappoints. You should start looking for reservations for June.

🥒 Ratatouile
—–Things I Ate
Sophia and I have taken a liking to this roasted vegetable dish. Although I went a little overboard with the cilantro olive oil dressing. Other than that it was delicious and relatively healthy haha.

🏝 Alcatraz
—–Things I Saw
Our long-lost bb Anna came to visit from Las Vegas, Nevada. And boy did we have a fun-filled weekend planned. We started at the Ferry Building with some porchetta sandwiches. Then, we walked over to Red's Java House, a San Francisco landmark known for its buckets of beers and it's... well uhm buckets of beers. We then caught a pedicab over to the Giants Stadium to watch some baseball. After the game, we hopped on the ferry to tour Alcatraz at night. We were quite parched from the tour so when we made it back to San Francisco we walked over to Hillstone and sat near a fireplace telling stories. It was an amazing day.

🥪 Sandwick Time
—–Things I Saw
I love a good sandwich. There is nothing like a perfectly constructed, well balanced, toasted sandwich. Luckily I have friends who share my affinity for sandwiches. Russell, Chloe, and I have each rescheduled this inevitable sandwich meeting multiple times and this month we finally got our acts together and met for delicious sandwiches. We caught up on life, travels, and Russell's dog, Rocket.

✨ Endgame
—–Things I Saw
Marvel has been crafting a 10-year vision and storyline for their Avengers series. All of that came to a close this month. I love the universe they set up allowing individual and unique character arcs to develop while bringing them all together seamlessly. It’s been amazing to witness. This finale was 3 hours long and it really felt like a thank you letter to the fans for following this decade long journey. Obviously, I wore my Thanos mask and infinity gauntlet much to Sophia’s disapproval. #WhateverItTakes

🇲🇽 Puerto Vallarta
—–Places I Went
I’ve mentioned my BFF Maia in this newsletter a few times. She’s the one that likes to plan all thr things. Remember? Great. Well, she schemed an idea to go to Mexico for her 30th. We stayed in a 3 story villa right on the water with an in-house chef, maid, and bartender. We spent the first day drinking in the pool and body boarding in the ocean. Then I spent the next two days being violently ill from food poisoning. I don’t know if it was the shrimp in the bucket of melting ice water or the 15 tequila shots, either way, I’ve never been that sick before. The first day and a half were amazing the following days, less so. Happy birthday again Maia!

🌞 Land's End
—–Places I Went
I went for a run one afternoon and caught this gorgeous light wrapping around a trail at Land’s End. I don’t usually run up here so it was a nice surprise.

🏃♂️ Presidio
—–Places I Went
I started seeing a personal trainer to learn how to lift heavy things and be healthier. I told him I was running a marathon with my Dad and Brother in July to which he asked, “are you on a training plan?”
”uhm some times I run during the week? 🤷🏽♀️”
Brian, my new trainer, gave me a disappointed look so I started a proper training program which led me to this lil 10k race this month. It snaked through the Presidio through wooded forests and unmanned trails. Sophia even woke up early on a weekend to cheer me on!
