Please join us for a presentation "Fun With Dragonflies" by Conrad Vispo next Thursday, May 2, 7pm at the Creekhouse, 1075 Harlemville Road, Ghent, NY. Or come at 6pm for the monthly Open House to grab some food, have time to look around the native plant garden, the building and library, to catch up on the latest news, and then stay for the dragonfly presentation. It will be a real treat!
We do still have some space in all of the upcoming Spring Flower Walks:
Saturday, May 4, 8-10am:
Phudd Hill and Floodplain Forest on Hawthorne Valley Farm (this is the day of the May Celebration at the Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School--plan to stay after the walk to watch the students dance around the maypole!)
Saturday, May 18, 10am-1pm:
Beebe State Forest (No-Bottom-Pond), Austerlitz
Saturday, June 1, 10am-1pm:
Taconic State Park (Cedar Brook), Copake Falls
These walks are led by Claudia Knab-Vispo of the Hawthorne Valley Farmscape Ecology Program. Participation is free, but space is limited. Please register with Claudia (fep@hawthornevalleyfarm.org or 518-672-7994) to reserve a space and to receive directions.
We are looking forward to seeing you,
Claudia, Conrad, Anna, Dylan, and Kenny
