WORKSHOPS:

During the final Sound the Art workshop the participants will sum up their experience of the project and discuss the results of their work with Maja Pluta, as well as create and record new works of sound art.

 

Both workshops are designed as interactive training for Polish migrant communities in the UK. The aim is to boost participants' confidence by improving their writing and presentation skills and help them to start a career within the creative industry.

DISCUSSIONS:

The panel will be discussing experience of Central-East European artists and art practitioners in the UK in contributing, relating and practicing forms of inclusion and representation in the art economy in the Great Bitain.

Join us for the next Discussion Film Club screening of The Last Resort (2000), directed by Pawel Pawlikowski while he was based in the UK.

FLATPACK FESTIVAL:

Centrala, Flatpack and Short Circuit are delighted to present a programme of curated film screenings and an accompanying discussion addressing key issues of migration, borders, territory, cultural identity, belonging and isolation.

On Friday Night we will officialy open Greg McLeod's "Bermingham: The (Not Entirely) True Story of a Misspelt City" exhibition presented by Flatpack!

Frank Bretschneider is a musician from Berlin whose work is known for precise sound placement, complex, interwoven rhythm structures and its minimal, flowing approach.
