Tour Historic Glen-Isle
Saturday, May 11

The Park County Historical Society will take a trip to Glen-Isle to tour the historic lodge and surroundings!

The lodge was built in 1900, and the tour of the lodge covers all the years since then.

Glen-Isle was in Barbara Tripp's family since 1923. After her passing, the lodge was closed, until new owners Greg and Mary Ruth Vincent purchased the famed resort in 2017.

The Vincent's have been diligently working the last two years, to bring the lodge and the surrounding cabins back to life, as they were enjoyed for the 89 years that the Tripp's and Barbara's Grandparents, the Baldwin's, kept the famed resort operating.

Learn about all the past and the future plans for the only railroad lodge still left in the Platte Canon area.

We will meet at McGraw Memorial Park in Bailey on Saturday, May 11 at 9:45am and drive to Glen-Isle. Carpool from Bailey if possible, as parking is minimal at the lodge. We will have lunch after the tour, and then explore other historic sites in the surrounding area, that the Bradford Toll Road once passed by, and other sites in the vicinity.

Bring a picnic lunch or dine nearby, and discover the Glen-Isle area with PCHS!
