Iceland is the hot (Sorry about the pun.) new travel spot.  The real news is that Iceland Air is serving Kansas City non-stop to Reykjavik, Iceland’s Capital with 4 flights per week.  From here you can connect to most of Europe’s major cities.  The rates are excellent.  Plus, you can stop over in Reykjavik for a couple of days at no extra charge for air.
