Roadrunner Speaks Vol 6.3

Howdy, pa'tners! Your friendly, neighborhood Roadrunner here, with the latest news for the New Mexico region. Pitter patter, let's get at 'er...

Sooooooo... You didn't get a ticket during the Tier 1 window. Don't panic yet. Use the Force! Tier 2 tickets for SunBurn go on sale at 12:01am on May 4, 2019.  Yes, May the Fourth...you think these dates the ticketing lead picks are random? Foolish padawan.

Tier 2 tickets are $65 each.

Be sure to read through all the juicy info under Tickets and Fine Print before you purchase: http://nmsunburn.com/info/

All of your questions about ticketing and prequel plot holes can be answered here: http://nmsunburn.com/tickets/

Also.... Due to space constraints, SunBurn Ticketing has suspended further sale of all vehicle camping passes until we have placed major art and theme camps. These sales may be reopened at a later date. Parking passes for vehicles that will live in the parking lot are still available. If your vehicle will live within the footprint of a REGISTERED THEME CAMP, contact your camp lead to ask about obtaining a code to purchase a Theme Camp Vehicle Pass. If you absolutely must have your vehicle with you and are not with a theme camp, please e-mail ticketing at ticketing@nmsunburn.com and explain your circumstances. We can discuss how best to accommodate you.

It's time to get ready for work weekends!

Excitement is growing as a good portion of your Council of Leads met for a site visit last weekend.  We've added a work weekend over Memorial Day, May 25-26.  We have a fallen-down building whose lumber needs to be sorted, reuse vs. scrap, then some of that material will be used to re-face another building, some we may be able to reuse some of it for our needs.  Two or three other buildings need some attention, with separate crews from the other project.

We'll be looking for about 20 people to come out and help in May (June work weekend needs will be TBD after we see how far we get.).  If you are interested, please register on the volunteer database, here.  Please do not plan to just show up.  For liability reasons, we need to be able to account for everyone present to work.  It will be hot, so the earlier we can get started, the better.  The goal would be to arrive between 8-8:30am, have a quick touch-base meeting 8:30-9:00am, start work at 9:00am, and work until 6:00pm (or sooner).

It is crucial that anyone who comes to a work weekend is prepared to, well, work.  The site is in no way conducive to open-toed shoes, so please plan accordingly; boots or steel-toes are preferable over sneakers.  Gloves will be essential; hard hats will be helpful.  Tools and equipment will be provided, but if you have any you're willing to bring, please do! There will be shade but you'll need to bring your own water, sunscreen, hat, whatever you need to work outside in the sun, along with whatever you need for an overnight camp-out if you're planning on staying both days.

Also if you've registered on the database but have not signed up for shifts, now is the time! Activity will be ramping up and available shifts will start to disappear.  Get after it!

We want to see your Art at SunBurn!  Whether performance, or static, or something in between, we (and everyone at SunBurn) want see what you create.  SunBurn ART grants are available to help offset development or transportation costs.   If you want your art placed outside of your camp or need access to SunBurn facilities, you will need to register your art.  Visit www.nmsunburn.com/sunburn-art for art registration & art grant info.
Round 2 of Art Grant applications ends May 15th!!

Theme Camp Registration is open.

The Theme Camp Registration form provides us with the information needed for SunBurn Placement to best - you guessed it - place registered theme camps and determine their footprint and needs. COMPLETE THIS FORM ONLY IF YOU ARE A THEME CAMP'S LEAD. Every theme camp amp needs a designated camp lead. Camp leads need to be someone that placement and other necessary leads (SOUND/LNT/ART DEPT) can communicate with directly, can coordinate with their team, and be available for set-up.
