INFLUENZA VACCINATION REIMBURSEMENT

As a health and safety measure for staff of the Armidale Catholic Schools System, the reimbursement of the cost of influenza vaccine has been approved. This offer covers the cost of the vaccine only and does not include the cost of the visit to the Doctor.

To claim reimbursement for vaccination:

  1. Complete the 2019 Influenza Vaccination Reimbursement Claim Form (approximate cost is $25).

  2. Forward the receipt and completed claim form to Conrad Post at the Catholic Schools Office.

All courses and Network days will be advertised through the E-Bulletin as they arise. Registrations for PD will close ONE WEEK prior.

NAPLAN ONLINE

In preparation for NAPLAN Online in Wks 3&4 Naplan Coordinators are asked to complete the following google form, with support from school IT staff if required.

NAPLAN ONLINE DISABILITY ADJUSTMENTS

Disability adjustments closing date – Friday 3 May

The final date for applications for scribe, colour contrast modifications and assistive technology adjustments is Friday 3 May. Applications must be made through NESA’s Schools Online website, using the disability adjustment spreadsheet. Further information about adjustments for students with disability is available from NESA’s website.

BIG WRITE & VCOP

We are currently developing a Training Package for the Big Write Marking Criteria. This may prove useful when assisting staff in applying marking criteria to scripts. This will be shared with all LOPs through our Big Write team drive.

Thanks to all for uploading their sample scripts after the recent Cold Write - Narrative. Our next Cold Write will be Persuasive and will take place in Week 9/10 Term 3.

SPEAKING 4 THE PLANET

This year’s Speaking for the Planet event will be held on Thursday 20 June. The World Environment Day theme is about air pollution. Categories for this year are:  prepared & impromptu speaking, impromptu drama, prepared artworks, impromptu writing.

Participating schools will have received information from the event organiser -  if you have not, or if you wish to enter your school (secondary schools), please contact me.

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

Ever wanted to know how to write correctly structured Prayers of the Faithful? This ELearning Module will give you the skills to teach your elf and your students. Completion of this e module can count towards  RE Accreditation hours.

Dr Gerard Goldman will facilitate the day. For new teachers and new employees, the day counts towards your Accreditation A and B

Sunday 28 April was World Day for Safety and Health at Work (World Day) and Workers’ Memorial Day.

World Day promotes safety and health in the workplace and Worker’s Memorial Day honours those who have died from work-related injury or illness.

This year we encourage you to promote a safe and healthy future of work and plan for the future at your workplace
