Adventures...

edition 029
Hi <<First Name>>

In 1859, Charles Darwin laid out his theory for natural selection.

When asked about his discovery, Darwin said the theory just popped into his head in a flash of insight.

However, several years before this so-called epiphany Darwin had already described the key elements of the theory in his notebooks.

The theory itself only came into view over time, originating from what the author Steven Johnson describes as the ‘slow hunch’.

While we may not necessarily be on the path to making Darwin-sized discoveries, we can all benefit from noticing our slow hunches. Perhaps it’s worth starting a fresh notebook.

I hope you enjoy this month's dispatch, and as always I'd love to hear where you're spending your time right now. Just hit reply.

Thanks for reading.

Alien: The Play

This is brilliant on so many levels. A North Jersey high school put on a full-length theatrical version of the Ridley Scott classic. Education and entertainment intertwine.

Just remember - in space, no one can hear you scream.
