Hundreds of families take part in Brearley Bear Egg Hunt

Sheffield BID’s latest interactive visitor trail attracted more than 1000 people to Sheffield city centre during the Easter weekend.

Hundreds of Little Eggsplorers and their parents took part in Brearley Bear’s Easter Egg Hunt, which saw families solve clues to find seven different coloured eggs hidden in Sheffield city centre. This is the third interactive trail organised by Sheffield BID, following the Sheffield Bricktropolis and the Sheffield Christmas Trail in 2018. It’s the second time the Brearley Bear character has been involved, following his debut during the Sheffield Christmas Trail.

Diane Jarvis, Sheffield BID Manager, said: “Interactive visitor trails are proving to be very popular in Sheffield city centre, amongst both visitors and city centre businesses.

“It gives families an opportunity to explore the city centre, including areas they may not usually visit, whilst our businesses are able to benefit from the increased footfall, on what can traditionally be a quiet weekend for city centre traders.

“We’re looking forward to bringing more interactive visitor trails to Sheffield city centre later this year, when the Sheffield Bricktropolis returns in August.”

The next interactive visitor trail will be the Sheffield Bricktropolis, which will take place from 17 – 31 August 2019.
