MNL Provincial Election Forum added to the Municipal Symposium agenda.

MNL President Tony Keats will host an MNL Provincial Election Forum with guests Liberal Leader Dwight Ball, PC Leader Ches Crosbie, NDP Leader Alison Coffin, and N.L. Alliance Leader Graydon Pelley on Thursday, May 2nd in Gander.

“Municipal councils are on the front lines of government because they make decisions that affect our lives every day,” says Keats. "To ensure the local concerns of families are being heard, we need to modernize the provincial-municipal relationship."

President Keats says it's critical for each candidate to understand that our sector requires alternative revenue sources, expects a seat at the table whenever there are policy or funding decisions to be made on our behalf, needs a long-term plan for infrastructure, and finally, wants a regional system that is fair to all taxpaying residents.

This event is in conjunction with the Municipal Symposium, and while it is not a public event, media will be permitted. The Provincial Election Forum will take place at 7:30 pm at the Quality Hotel & Suites in Gander on May 2, 2019.
