Three FREE document shredding events are scheduled for Oakland County residents this year at the Oakland County Farmers Market:
- Friday, May 10, 9-11 a.m.
- Wednesday, Aug. 7, 5-7 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 11, 9-11 a.m.

Confidential and personal documents will be shred on site by Rapid Shred's state-of-the-art high volume shredding truck.
The truck will be in the Oakland County Farmers Market parking lot, there is no need for residents to leave their cars. Arrive early as there is typically a line of cars, but the line moves quickly. |

| Residents are reminded to limit documents to three or four boxes of paper only. This service is available to residents; no commercial or business use. |

Free document shredding has been offered by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office since 2005 as a way to prevent identity theft. Oakland County Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with Sheriff Michael Bouchard, is pleased to expand this important service for Oakland County residents.
The Oakland County Farmers Market is located at 2350 Pontiac Lake Road in Waterford. It is a producer-direct market that hosts more than 100 farmers and artisans representing 17 Michigan counties. For more information, call 248-858-5495.
