UPDATE ! Rhody Days Parade • May 19, 2019
The Rhody Cruisers are once again registered for the Parade on Sunday.
The Link I had posted for Parade Times and Rules did not work.
So, here is what you need to know:.

Staging 9:15am – 10:00 am • Parade Starts at Noon
(Please do not arrive earlier than 9:15 am)

Enter Oak Street from 31st Street, head south towards 27th
You will be staged along Oak Street facing south toward 27th Street along the west side of the street (right hand side).
Celebrity Rides... The Florence Chamber is still looking for 4 cars to drive local dignitaries in the parade. If you would like to participate, call Rue at (760)686-6502

Cars & Coffee Review.
We held our second Cars & Coffee event last Saturday. It was a bit wet in the AM, and I had to use my wipers, but the road was dry. I arrived early to help setup. John Machii and the Lions Club were already setting up their cute little food trailer with a grill and everything inside with opening service windows. They had a huge coffee pot, and boxes of donuts to start. Soon they were serving Burgers with all the fixin's and drinks. All for donations only. I hope it was profitable for their charity work.
   
We had a great turnout of about 25 cars and trucks. Many of our members went to Oakland for that show. There were many new faces, cool Corvettes and trucks I had not seen. The US 101 Car Club and Bay City Cruisers came down the coast to join us. I met several new people, and have 2 potential new members. This is a nice casual event, and I think it will become very popular. The next one is June 8.

• John Machii wants to sell his perfect '67 Barracuda, asking $21,500
• Darleene Barns wants to sell Gary's Fabulous '57 Chevy 454 Pickup. Price is unknown but worth it.
• Darleen also has a 6 Cylinder Packard engine. Specs unknown. Sounds like a Rat Job to me.
• Richard and Vi Taylor want to sell their Cadillac Powered '48 Plymouth ...$12,500.
• Gerry Wilson is looking for a '66 or '67 El Camino. He wants a finished car.
• Barbara's Custom Interiors is experimenting with a spray on Chrome process he bought from Tim Smith, and offers embroidery also.

The Mike Groshong Memorial
Wings and Wheels Show is scheduled for July 6, 2019 at the Florence Airport.
NOT JUST A CAR SHOW
In addition to 100 really cool cars, there are many antique, and Hot Rod airplanes... plus Military, Police and Fire Displays. It is a full day of Action with over 20 local and regional groups involved with displays and activities. Plus... Central Oregon Coast British Car Club will be holding their show all day.

The Rhody Cruisers had a busy 2018.
We attended dozens of Car Shows, bringing Glory and Booty to our humble group. We quickly organized a Stand-Around Show for visiting guests in June. We helped with Wings & Wheels, and made a major contribution to Rods 'N Rhodies. We participated in the Rhody Days Parade, and paraded to honor our Veterans last month. Together we brought in donations of Christmas Joy for those in need. We paid our respect to those folks being cared for at Spruce Point and Shorewood Living. I am very proud of our little club, and look forward to another year of community support, good times, and good friends. One of the best things we do is to meet monthly, and toss around ideas about upcoming events. Our around-the-room discussions are fabulous. Many thanks for that go to ...Ann, and the great staff at the A&W.
