An empty Mother's Day

An empty mother’s day
This is my first mother’s day with an empty void in my heart. No card to buy and send. No flowers to be ordered and sent. No phone call to make. My mommy is no longer accessible to my messages of love. I can’t tell her how much I love her, or how much she means to me. I miss her with a deep ache of sorrow that just never goes away. But because of an EMPTY tomb where a victoriously risen Lord conquered death and the grave I have the true joyful peace knowing WHERE my mama is on this special day. She is ALIVE and WELL. She is now totally FULLY COMPLETE , so my empty ness today is a little easier to bear.

Life is pretty intense at the moment. We did hear that dads visa is “ in the processing” phase. The website says it should be completed by May 30. We have tickets for June 10. Please pray!! We are asking God to do His thing...the impossible...and get us daddy’s visa before Bill and the boys head home to Png June 5.

We continue to make process for the moving out phase of our journey. We are finding difficulty getting placement for larger items from my parents home so much prayer is appreciated in that need. We thought we had an interested party in a bedroom set and living room set but the check they sent turned out to be fraudulent 🙄. While we praise God for His discernment and protection , we are now back to square one. Ugh!!

The 20 foot container space is now basically filled. We had to itemize each container/ box and document volume , wt and value of every single thing being packed into the 20 foot space. It is time consuming and complicated but now basically done. Bill and Amo have works tirelessly and along with help from some of the men of our church as we are also piecing together the items so that loading day will simply be moving piece by piece from one area to the next and just fitting them together again. Our loading day will be May 29 th and we need as many able to come help us as possible that day. We will be meeting at 7 am at Webster Bible Church 675 Holt Road , Webster Ny 14580. Any help is appreciated!!

Moving day out of daddy’s home will be May 30. We ask for prayer as the reality of leaving our family home of 40 years is feeling like a final goodbye to my precious mommy. All her memories and felt presence is there in that home. Our hearts are hurting.

We have confirmed tickets purchased for Bill and the boys traveling June 5 th with Lori and dad to follow on the 10th. Prayer for smooth flights and ease of a very long journey are appreciated.

We are so thankful for so many of you partnering with us in PRAYER:

- please earnestly pray for the closing of the estate in California and pray fervently with us as the settlement of the trusts become reviewed and finances will be distributed. We are asking God to allow this huge blessing to be able to be used to further the Gospel message. Pray for those standing in the gap with the lawyers and judges. Pray for God to do the improbable and even the impossible as we commit this opportunity to Him. Closing is planned for May 13. Be in prayer that this happens.

-continue to pray for God to enable daddy’s visa to be processed and finalized ahead of schedule. Pray we have the visa stamped passport in hand by June 5.

- please pray for our health and strength and protection as we have much traveling ahead of us these next few weeks. Lori is back to 100% after just 24 hours of down time last Sunday. The power of prayer was truly evidenced!!! Thank you for praying last week!

-pray for Amo and Aaron as we will be transitioning them back into school. Trying to keep up with schooling, packing, traveling and transitioning is a huge challenge to be sure. We desperately need prayer for discernment , cooperation from the boys and for strength.

- please be in prayer for our dear friends and PNG coworkers, Abel and Sarah. Their son, around our Andrews age, Alfons , just unexpectedly died this past week. Abel is a Pastor in Png. We are asking that God strengthen them and encourage their hearts as they hurt. Many times our Christians are attacked by unbelieving family or those in the community with accusations of sorcery when death comes. Pray that God protects them and their ministry in this difficult time.

- please continue to pray for our baby Jessy. We have not been able to contact his family and we have no update on how he is healing after the final cleft palate repair is going. It is such a comfort knowing that God holds him and watches over him when we can not. Please continue to pray for healing and nutritional needs. Pray for his daddy, Andrew, to come to know and trust in Christ.

- pray for strength and blessing upon the Men in PNG working feverishly to prepare daddy’s new home inside our home for him. Pray for the final touches to be easily completed and for protection for the men as they lovingly minister to us in this way.

Please continue to uphold us as we walk the trail of grief and just missing my precious mommy. We feel your prayers and God’s amazing and sustaining grace literally enveloping us.

We stand amazed in the glorious plan God continues to unfold and orchestrate as we bring daddy home to Png with us.

No restraint. No retreat. No regrets!! Fearless. Faithful.

Bill Lori , the boys and daddy.
