Space Camp 2019
Space camp is rapidly approaching. There are still a few places left but if you want to come and haven't booked make sure you get in touch fast!
The Camp is at Ferny Crofts Scout Activity Centre 6-7 July 2019 and celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the moon landings.
There are some important admin milestones coming up:
by 17/05 fill in the extra details form with NAP holder and other information about your booking here
by 27/05 Add all your participants and leaders into the system with t-shirt selection and any important notes. T-shirt details here and the booking system at bvr.org.uk/spacecamp
by 27/05 Add any visitors (such as mealtime support and GSLs) here
by 27/05 make final payment. Make sure you use the full ref starting DEPT77-SCP.

Ginormous Teddy Bears Picnic 2019
Building on the success of the last 4 years of Picnics in the Park we are going for another big year in 2019. We have again joined together with The Murray Parish Trust’s Ginormous Teddy Bears Picnic. Murray Parish Trust are raising money for various aims this year including a special 3D printer to create models of babies hearts to help surgeons
There will be the choice of our hosted picnics where you can join together with other Beaver Scouts from the county for fun and games or you can run your own; this could be a colony evening, a special day at the park or part of another event of camp! The cost is £2.50 per person to include an exclusive slider, badge and £1 to the charity.

Paultons Park 2019 will follow the same successful format of the last couple of years and will be the weekend of 12-13 October. More details will be out soon but excitingly we are having a badge design competition for the Beavers to design the badges for the event this year! The badge will be the same diamond shape as those from Chip's Challenge, 4 Kingdoms and Ginormous Teddy Bears Picnic. The entry form is here and notes for leaders are here. Entries must be received by 28/06 and please note the different email address.
Team news
We have 2 new additions to the County Beaver team in Harry and Anna. They join the team as County Beaver Young Leaders. I hope you will join me in wishing them the best of luck in their new roles, they are already looking forward to Space Camp and more excitement to come!
