Altered Book Workshop in June

Learn how to transform old books into mixed media pieces of art in my Altered Book class happening on Sunday June 9th at BC Artscape. Use the code ranews for 10% off when you register.

This five hour workshop is an introduction to examples and techniques for transforming old books into one-of-a-kind pieces of art. There is an unlimited potential for creating interesting work by altering books through cutting, folding, rolling, collage, etc. This course will demonstrate a selection of techniques and provide a starting point for creating work of your own. The goal will be to complete one finished altered book by the end of the workshop.

The Return of Art & Craft Social

It's been two years since I last organized an Art & Craft Social, but with the help of my talented friend, Barb Wong as co-organizer, we are bringing it back again! Art & Craft Social is a FREE community event to bring together a diverse group of adult artists, makers, designers, and craftspeople of all levels of experience to share and create their work in a social setting.

Each attendee should bring a small creative project such as stitching, sketching, crocheting, collage, etc, to work on at Art & Craft Social. The event is inspired by crafternoons, stitching bees, and art jams people host as private get togethers in their homes with friends. We're turning it into a publicly hosted meet up where all are welcome. The Social provides an opportunity to meet new people, get inspired, and learn something new through exposure to the creative work of each person’s project.

Let us know you're coming. Visit eventbrite to RSVP »
