Hi Galibier fan,

Launch of the NiWatt

We signed off on production chassis drawings for the NiWatts on March 20th, and we're in a short-term hold pattern.

We’re looking at a higher than anticipated required order quantity (in order to hit the manufacturing “sweet spot”).

Now we know why Audio Note amplifiers with their copper chassis are priced as they are.

Contact us about getting in line for the first production batch.

The NiWatts demanded better cables and drove their development.  It's only fair that the cables return the favor to the NiWatts, and we're offering introductory cable pricing to fund the NiWatt launch.  Details are immediately below ...

The Great Cable Giveaway

Well, we're not giving anything away, but our prices are so fair that you could easily think of it this way.

Based on cables they've easily outperformed, we could easily be charging 10 times their asking price and you wouldn't blink if you heard them.

It gets better ...
  • From now until June 30th, take 25% off the list price of any cable shown on the web page.  Contact us about a money back guaranty.
  • Additionally, you can apply the price paid for a limited number of cables to the purchase of the NiWatts, a Gavia or Stelvio.  Refer to the "Pricing" tab on those product pages for details.
You can read about the basic design principles on our Cables page:  https://galibierdesign.com/products/cables/

One of our early adopters had this to say about our cables:  https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/galibier-cables-crushed-my-nordost-frey-2-cables.

Eiger News

Not much to report.  We've been busily moving forward with cables and the NiWatt, but the Eiger is returning front and center.

Expect news in the late Spring.

Here's a recent post on a cable auditioning session we had with our prototypes.

We had an interesting session demoing a Van den Hul Crimson XGW Stradivarius cartridge.  It's a great match for both the 9" and 11" Kuzma 4Point tonearms.  Click here to see how we set it up.

We had a particularly challenging time establishing compatibility between a turntable from another manufacturer and a Reed 2P tonearm.  Click this link for the story.

Bargin Bin

We'll be updating this in the next few days.  We expect a few tasty items.
  • A Gavia Mk-I we're expecting in trade.  We'll be performing the Mk 1.5 armboard mod to it upon receipt.  Stay tuned ...
  • A Schröder CB tonearm (carbon arm wand version)
  • An Audio Research LS-17 line stage
  • Several Nördost cables a customer of ours is selling (he's onboard with our cables now).
Check the 'Bin in the coming weeks.

Continual Process Improvement

We're working on further refinements of the Gavia and Stelvio drive.  Stay tuned ...
