Money raised provides for all kids to attend class field trips. Dine in or take out, 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM.

Our Scholastic Online Book Fair is Now Open! Volunteers Still Needed!

Want more books to choose from? A favorite sold out? Looking for a teacher’s wish list? Our online book fair is open now! Orders will be shipped free to Hayhurst when the fair closes and all purchases benefit the Hayhurst Library. Your student’s wish list can be shared with out of town relatives too!
We also need more volunteers to make the book fair in the library 5/20-5/24. Lines will be long at the cash register if we don’t get enough volunteers for each shift!
The book fair is the only fundraiser for the library so we really depend on our volunteers to make this event a success! There is a volunteer sign-up sheet on the counter in the office or you can sign up online.

Camp Fire’s Fall 2019-20 Registration Opens May 21st (Pre-registration Open)
|

Camp Fire’s fall 2019-20 pre-registration, where families can input all their information ahead of time, has opened on May 1st (*All families registering for 19-20 school year must complete this step).
PPS families will be able to officially register May 21st starting at 8:00 PM. To register, please go to www.CampFireColumbia.org.
There are three changes this year:
- A new two-step process for registration
- Split up program enrollment opening dates by district
- Program enrollment opening times changed to 8 PM (with staff members in the office from 8-10 PM to answer calls)

Hayhurst Shopping Day Fundraiser at Hoot-n-Annie - Saturday, May 18

Free Dental and Medical Clinic at Wilson High School - Saturday, May 18
|
|

|
Saturday, May 18, is the sixth annual Compassion Clinic at Wilson HS. Each year we serve approximately 250 guests. It is a free, one day, medical and dental clinic.
Breakfast is served from 6:00 am to 8:00 am for volunteers and guests. Wilson’s doors will open to guests at 7:15 am. Dental and medical services will be provided from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. We offer a free lunch in the cafeteria to providers, guests and volunteers from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
There is no screening of guests for service. It is simply, first come, first served. In addition to general medical and dental services we offer eye exams from the Casey Eye institute, chiropractic care, footcare, massages, physical therapy, and haircuts.
We also offer a full day of child care for the children of volunteers and guests. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, disability, national origin, citizenship status, age, sexual orientation, veteran’s status or genetic information.

Final PTA Meeting of the Year - June 4th + Seeking PTA Secretary for Next Year

Our final PTA meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, June 4th, 6:30-8:00 PM at the school library.
This final meeting will focus on approving the budget for 2019-2020 and wrapping up the year. Please join us. All are welcome. Only PTA members can vote.
Plus, we are seeking a person to fill the PTA Secretary role next year. The secretary's main duties are recording and filing meeting minutes and maintaining membership rosters (see more here). If interested, please contact Kirsten Carr.
