Exclusive invitation to the ICDE Global President’s Summit (GPS2019) for a full-day gathering on Sunday 3rd November at Dublin City University’s St Patrick’s Campus. A follow up meeting will be held on Wednesday 6th November during the ICDE World Conference programme.   

Dear Colleagues,

During the 28th ICDE World conference to be hosted by Dublin City University from the 3-7 November, Dublin, Ireland, we invite all Presidents, Vice-Chancellors, Principles, and Rectors from ICDE Member institutions to engage in discussion, debate, and learning in globally relevant topics in a closed meeting.

The GPS is a forum specifically for Presidents, Vice-Chancellors, Principles, and Rectors from ICDE Member institutions to engage in discussion, debate, and learning in globally relevant topics including, but not limited to:

• emergent paradigms in higher education, research, and innovation
• executive leadership
• emergent technologies & their role on place based and distributed learning models
• innovative & sustainable business models
• geo-political trends
• socio-economic trends
 
At this meeting ICDE will also present for discussion the ICDE Strategic Plan for the next period (2021-2025) and participants will have the opportunity to highlight areas of strategic importance for research and innovation for the ICDE membership.
 
The meeting will be co-chaired by ICDE President, Belinda Tynan, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice-President at RMIT University, Australia and by ICDE Executive Committee Member, Neil Fassina, President, Athabasca University, Canada.

A more detailed draft agenda will be circulated prior to the event.
 
Information for attendees
 
The GPS is for the most senior administrator at ICDE member institutions or organisations. This includes Presidents, Vice-Chancellors, Principles, and Rectors of higher education providers. It also includes Presidents and CEOs of member organisations. If the senior executive member is unable to attend, ICDE member institutions and organisations may send a second level executive as their representative. (e.g., Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Vice-Presidents). Guests may be invited to the GPS in the capacity of speaker/expert/facilitator at the discretion of the organising committee. Schedule of the programme will be updated shortly.
 
Venue

The GPS begins with a full-day gathering on Sunday 3rd November at Dublin City University’s St Patrick’s Campus. There will be a follow up meeting on Wednesday 6th November during the ICDE World Conference programme. 

Registration process and Fee

The fee to attend is 90 Euro and will include lunch, coffee and networking opportunities. There is a limited capacity and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Registration will be closed when at capacity.
