Description: Student Sport Ireland commissioned the Student Activity Sport Study Ireland (SASSI) (Murphy et al 2016) (SASSI). SASSI (2016) identified a number of Key Findings, Recommendations and Benchmarks for future comparison and assessment of the work of SSI and its member institutions. A follow-up study is required in order to assess investment and implementation of policies and initiatives, overall and within colleges, in the intervening period and the impact these might have had on student participation in sport and physical activity (SASSI 2). The overall aim of SASSI 2 is to investigate and assess the participation of third level students in sport and physical activity in Ireland and the factors and issues surrounding that participation. Specifically, the research should: gather accurate, reliable and consistent data on the behaviour and attitudes of Irish third-level students in/to sport and physical activity; assess the impact of their third-level experience of sport and physical activity on their participation/ the impact of their experience of sport and physical activity in the third-level sector on their participation; monitor changes in physical activity and sports behaviour among students between 2014 and 2019; and further develop and refine comprehensive SAR and Survey instruments that can continue to be used in the assessment of the environment, provision and levels of participation in sport and physical activity in third-level colleges beyond the current study period. The SASSI 2 Research will comprise of the repeat of SASSI (2016) survey using a modified questionnaire and a repeat of SAR (2016) using a modified instrument. This Tender relates to the Student Survey element only. The survey will consist of a standardised instrument to facilitate comparison of students’ levels of physical activity within all institutions against recommended activity guidelines and illustrate in detail the levels of activity, intensity, duration and regularity of the activity.

Description: Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) was established by the Irish Government under the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act 2001 and the Irish Horseracing Industry Act 1994. It is a commercial semi-state body that is responsible for the administration, promotion and development of horse racing in Ireland. HRI subsidiaries include Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ltd. (ITM), Tote Ireland Ltd; and HRI Racecourses Ltd; consisting of Leopardstown Racecourse, Fairyhouse Racecourse, Navan Racecourse, Tipperary Racecourse and Leopardstown Golf Centre. HRI headquarters are located in Ballymany, Newbridge, Co Kildare. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to utilise this contract for other industry stakeholders such as the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB). Further information on this will be published in the Options section of the Invitation to Tender Document. The Contracting Authority is publishing a request for tenders to companies that can supply, install, integrate, customise, maintain, upgrade and support a Finance Management System (FMS) and associated processes. The Contracting Authority would expect the implementation cost of a new FMS to be in the region of €200k plus the annual maintenance and licensing costs. In the first instance, a contract for the installation of a financial management system will be awarded to the successful tenderer emerging form this competitive process. This will include migration, customisation and UAT. On completion of the new system, it is envisaged that a maintenance contract and associated services of 5 year’s duration will be awarded. The maintenance contract will have the option to be extended up to a maximum of 15 years on an annual basis. Simultaneously, the Contracting authority reserves the right to enter into annual license agreement with the successful tenderer for up to a maximum of 15 years.
