This Week's Promise to Share

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

May 25 :: Girls' & Mother's Day Retreat in Federal Way


Mothers and Daughters, ages newborn to 12-years-old, are invited to a Girls' and Mother's Day Retreat on Saturday, May 25, from 10 am to 4 pm for a day of laughter, crafts, bonding activities, and a connection with God! A Mother's Day Weekend Annual Tradition!


It’s an annual tradition for Auburn Adventist Academy Church! Each Mother’s Day weekend, the children of the church present the Sabbath worship service. This year’s theme focused on friendships and being a good friend with God and humankind. Children led the music about being a friend of God, honored the mother figures in the church, shared a colorful special music, acted out a Bible skit about Ruth and Boaz, and presented prayer hearts just like always in Sabbath School. Two eighth grade students from Buena Vista Elementary School were mentored and prepared to preach a sermonette.
 
“It’s never too early to start working on a relationship with God,” shared Cristina Moudy in her sermonette. “Jesus helps us to be humble and a good friend every step of the way,” added Sky Woody.
 
Children’s Church also included the baptism of Auburn Adventist Academy international student Ivy Lu. Earlier this year, Ivy spoke at student week of prayer. The message about not worrying was not just for her classmates, but also for her. “I realized, “Why should I worry? God has a future for me,” Ivy recounted.
