SACREdplace – Thank You and Good Bye – for now!
Sadly the ecumenical Christian Bookshop, SACREdplace, will close its doors on Saturday 18th May after nine years of achieving its vision of ‘Practically promoting Christian Unity’. This has been a very special journey. We have provided Christian resources from the shop base in St Austell and expanded our service across much of Cornwall, offering churches and groups a wide range of goods on a no-risk sale or return basis, as well as running stalls at many events, great and small. In addition we have been privileged to welcome people for pastoral support, while sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through care and witness, a ministry that has increased more than fourfold in the last three years. All this has been achieved by an excellent volunteer team from several different Christian traditions who work and pray together each day.
As well as preparing for closure The SACREd Trust is also actively exploring other options and ways forward so that this very special expression of Christian unity can transform and regrow. We are both hopeful and prayerful so please WATCH THIS SPACE and remember us in your prayers, so once more we will be able to celebrate our unity in the rich diversity of our common Christian heritage.

VACANCY: 2 VOUNTEER CHAPLAINS
Multifaith Chaplaincy, Falmouth University & University of Exeter in Cornwall
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 new volunteer chaplains to join our team who serve the students and staff of the university community here in Cornwall. We are looking for two people who are willing to work for a few hours a week on our Penryn Campus between the hours of 1930 and 0730 to offer pastoral and spiritual care to our dedicated and hardworking Night Services team and to support the welfare provision for students.
You will be an established member of a local church or other faith community which is a member of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland or the Interfaith Network. You will be motivated by your faith to make yourself available to those who would appreciate someone standing alongside them. You will be willing to work with a diverse community of people from all faiths and none, understanding that the focus of the role is on pastoral care rather than evangelisation.
For more information or to discuss the role further please contact our Co-Ordinating Chaplain Becky on R.Nesbitt@fxplus.ac.uk
For an application pack, please contact our administrator Sally on S.Branch@fxplus.ac.uk

TURNING TIDE BEREAVEMENT CAFE CLOSES
It is with great disappointment that I have to inform you that the Turning Tide Bereavement Café has had to close. This is primarily because of a shortage of volunteers. I will keep all of the café supplies and hope that FPCT will be able to open the Café again with a fresh team. If your church displays a poster or has Turning Tide promotional cards on display, please arrange for them to be removed. Thank you.
