Electronic Faxing Module

  • STI now has an electronic faxing module that is built specifically for the needs of medical practices. We understand the need for providers and their staff to be able to quickly send faxes, as well as edit, annotate, and import faxes into our EHR software. As a result, we now offer an intuitive user interface that allows you to integrate both inbound and outbound faxing into the ChartMaker Medical Suite.  The cost includes a monthly fee which is based on the total faxes sent and received. Note, you can cancel the service with 30 days written notice. For more information, please see our website.

HealtheConnections Completes Merger with HealthlinkNY

  • On May 1st, two New York State Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIOs) announced that they have now merged into one – HealtheConnections is now officially the RHIO serving the Central & Northern New York, Southern Tier and Hudson Valley regions. As a result of this merger, we now have the ability to offer our interfacing options to clients who reside in these counties. For the full details, please visit our blog.

How STI Uses "Learning Experiences" To Improve Our Services

  • Although it is difficult to admit, STI, like all cloud-based service vendors, occasionally encounters service outages from time to time. When an outage occurs, it can be frustrating for you, our clients. Be assured, that we are continually implementing ways to prevent these kinds of problems, whether it’s by replacing and upgrading hardware, or making software changes.

However, one of the most important responsibilities we have when such a situation arises is to keep you informed. Therefore, when any service issue arises, we have implemented these three rules:

  • Rule #1 - Let you, our clients, know as soon as we do so that you don’t have to wonder if we know about it.
  • Rule #2 -  Keep you informed throughout the process until the problem is resolved, so that you know we’re working on a solution.
  • Rule #3 - This is one that you don’t hear much about, but one you may have thought of: Find a way to prevent the problem from happening again!
  • If you’ve ever asked, “What does STI do after a problem has occurred to prevent it from happening again?”, read more here to learn how we use each learning experience to improve our products and services.

Practice Manager Tips and Training Videos

  • Using Patient Recall - Looking for a way to track those patients who have not been seen in a while? Rather than waste precious time running reports for “missing in action patients”, simply add a quick recall to do the work for you!  Practice Manager offers a feature called Patient Recall, which can be found under the Charge tab. Read more on how to use this here.

  • Training Videos - Did you hire new billing staff? Be sure to have them review our training videos for a faster on-boarding process. Our training library is complete with materials on appointments, checking eligibility, the patient tab, collecting copays, payer inquiry and much more. In addition, if you're looking for a more immersive experience, visit our E-Learning website to begin your hands-on training in specific topics such as Patient Billing, Insurance Billing and Payment Posting.
