2018-19 ASB Calendar PDF

2019-20 Calendar (DRAFT)
May 15, 2019

Dear Students, Families, Alumni, Parishioners, and Friends of ASB School,

Can you believe we are halfway through May?  With only 4 ½ weeks to go, we are busy, busy, busy here at ASB!
  • Congratulations to all of our second graders at Assumption and St. Bridget Parishes for receiving First Communion!
  • Congratulations to the kindergarten students for a wonderful Spring Tea!
  • Congratulations to all of our students who are wrapping up MAP testing! Thank you for your best efforts!
There are so many end of year events coming up. From Reading Rodeos to Learning Luaus, from Japan Day to Famous Washingtonians, from National Parks to final essays and projects, from boat trips to graduation.  Please be sure you are reading the communication coming through the newsletter and your classrooms to stay on top of all that is going on.

I hope to see many of you tomorrow evening at 7:00 PM for our spring concert.  Our beginning band, concert band, street band, and choir will fill the Assumption Gym with beautiful music!

On Monday, May 20th, we will have our annual Faculty vs. 8th grade basketball game at 12:30 in Assumption Gym.  We will have “color wars” free dress that day. 8th graders will be rocking their best neon outfits.  Look for more information this week on each grade level’s assigned color.

I would like to say a special thank you to all of our hard-working parent committees.  Our Development Committee, Facilities Committee, Finance Council, Parent Board, School Commission, Capital Campaign Cabinet and Governance Council are all wrapping up for the year.  The time, expertise, and dedication each member has put into our work the past year is a huge part of the success of our school.  Thank you to these groups and all they do for ASB!

Finally, I am happy to announce that Jeanette Hurley, former first grade teacher, will return this fall to be the long-term substitute when Mrs. Brousseau has her baby.  We are so fortunate to have her coming back to the classroom.

Enjoy the weekend!

Best,
Kathleen Conklin
