I remember the early morning hours of this day 4 years ago very clearly. After sitting with my dying father for 6 days, his body and spirit mercifully separated. The entire experience around his prognosis and death from the rare and aggressive Triple Hit Lymphoma was the most painful thing my family has endured. One way I processed it was through my first 100 Day Project, 100 Days of People Parts and Flowers, which spanned his final days. I also shared something I hoped to would be helpful, What to Say to Death. 

My Dad was a remarkable man. His first day on the job as an electrical engineer was the Apollo 1 fire. He retired when the shuttle retired. He put men on the moon and in outer space. He loved the Gators, his 3 granddaughters, and his dog Mars. He would’ve been so tickled to meet his grandson and I regret that he didn’t have the chance. I love you, Pop Pop.
