Have you married the wrong person?

I've said it before and I'll say it again .. I love Alain de Botton .. I love his grounded wisdom, practical insights and well placed humour.

Isn't it true? .. especially in a culture that promotes romanticism as much as ours does .. that we will one moment wake up to our partner and wonder what the hell we were thinking when we thought they were the most marvellous creature we had ever met?! Were we blind? Did they trick us?

It's in moments like this that it's really good to be able to turn to de Botton and gain proper perspective. 

For a few years I have been weaving his work into my trainings. The combination of perspective and how we communicate our hurts and frustrations to significant others turns out to be an incredibly powerful combo.

I thoroughly enjoy the 2 questions below that de Botton humorously asks the audience:
