יש דברים שרציתי לומר והנייר אינו נענה לי, ולגבי הבציר המתקרב לא מצאתי כלום שראוי לכתוב. אני לא במצב של "איסתרה בלגינא קיש קיש קריא" כי הכד- מלא וגדוש מחשבות ודאגות ורעיונות, וגם לא חסר לי יין בלגין . 
ובכל זאת אספר איפה, מה ואת מי? חברי הפרופסור שאולי לך הפגיש לי את ליאונרדו Padura שלקח אותי לקובה ולהרפתקאות עם טרוצקי, שפינוזה ורמבראנט, אנארכיסטים מקטלוניה, וגם כלבים רגישים ויהודים חכמים. העגורופיל שמואל הספרי הראה לי קבוצת תיאטרון פולנית - גרג׳יניצה, ואת אחד החזיונות התיאטראליים היפים בחיי - איפיגניה. במטוס אמיתי טסתי לברצלונה עם ניר שחם, אייל דרורי ואלון יצחקי שהובילו אותי פיזית לאזור היין PRIORAT שם השארתי חתיכה מהלב היינני שלי עטוף בדפים מהמינגווי וג'ורג אורוול. 
בזמן שחזרתי לעולם של אתמול עם שטפן צווייג (אני והוא אחוכים מאותה אקדמיה בוינה) חיפשתי מתכון להפיכת עודפי חלב לגבינה. אז פגשתי במקס מלכיאל מדורטמונט שבגרמניה והתאהבתי באיש שמדבר עברית במבטא ערבי והופך מתכוני בישול לתירוצים נפלאים בשביל לספר על מהגרים, פליטים, העשרת איראניום ושירה פרסית וגם על יהודים בכלל.
כמה פעמים שמעתם אותי מסיים את דיבורי במילים:"כנראה, שהיין הוא רק תירוץ". אז הנה, עוד אחד שאומר לכם. חזרתי להיות יהודי נודד שתמיד הייתי, אבל הנה כבר נחתתי כאן בעגור, בהרי יהודה. דווקא. ככה. וכולי תקווה ששמץ מכל היופי המרגש הזה יחדור למיץ הנפלא של כולנו גם בבציר הקרוב מאד. 
בקובה כמו בלובלין, ובבוכרה גם, כאן בהרי יהודה אי אפשר להתרגש מהנדודים היפים האלה אלא אם מחליקים את כל הסלט הנ"ל עם הרבה כוסות של רוסה ולים, אז הנה גם לכם, כי ככה.

There are things I wanted to say about the approaching harvest, but in this heat they do not form any coherency. Yet I will tell where I was, what I did and whom I met.
 Professor Shaul Lach introduced me to compay Leonardo Padura who took me to Cuba and on adventures with Trotsky, Rembrandt, Anarchists of Catalonia, and met some sensitive dogs and smart Jews. Shmuel Hasfari showed me a Polish theater group - Gardzienice, and one of the most beautiful theatrical visions of my life.
On a real plane I flew to Barcelona with wine makers Nir Shaham, Eyal Drori and Alon Yitzhaki, who led me to the PRIORAT wine area where I left a piece of my viticulturalist heart wrapped in pages from Hemingway and George Orwell.
When I returned to the world of yesterday with Stefan Zweig (both of us shared the same Gymnasium in Vienna) and while I searched for a recipe for turning surplus milk into cheese, I met Max Malkiel of Dortmund, Germany, fell in love with a man who speaks Hebrew with an Arabic accent and who turns cooking recipes into wonderful excuses to talk about immigrants, refugees, enriching Iranium and Persian poetry, and even about Jews in general. In him I found another guy telling the world "Apparently, wine is just an excuse." 
I hope that some of all the above exciting beauty will penetrate the wonderful grape juice in the very near harvest.
In Cuba, as in Lublin, and even in Tashkent, here in the Judean Hills you cannot be moved by these beautiful dances unless you smooth out this crazy salad by gulping lots of Rosa and Layam glasses. so here is something for you guys.
