 The Learning Web has two programs available to local youth. The Summer Volunteer Community Service Program is now taking applications! The program is open to students who reside in the Town of Ithaca, the Village of Lansing, the Village of Cayuga Heights and the Town of Caroline. The 6-week program will run from June 26th through August 1st, from 9 am through 12:30 pm, with an option of participating in the Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday session. The home base for the program will be St. Catherine’s of Siena Church, and from there the groups will travel to different service sites throughout Tompkins County. In the past, they have visited sites such as Meadowgate Horse Rescue, the Cayuga Nature Center, and the Ithaca Children’s Garden! The program is completely free, and snacks and transportation are provided.
