Modern Sky @ Sound City 2019
Wherever you went at Sound City 2019, you where never far from Modern Sky. From our showcase stage in District early on Saturday, right up until The Tea Street Band's headline performance in Constellations Sunday night, Modern Sky was the talk of the Triangle!
The crowds were down early for Abbie Ozard and needless to say she won over a lot of new fans.
Next up were SPQR who tore through tracks from their new EP in one of the weekend's most blistering sets!
Resident singer-songwriter Natalie McCool then indulged us in her glam-tinged alt-pop.
We unleashed our latest signing Declan Welsh & the Decadent West onto the unsuspecting crowd and they did not disappoint. The audience hung on Declan's every word as he well and truly owned the stage.
Our showcase stage then ended with the weekend's first lock out as Red Rum Club took to the stage. Masses of people were listening in from the streets to the trumpet wielding behemoths, as they swapped their usual all black look for outfits akin to those in their new video for 'TV Said So'.
Elsewhere across the festival even more of our artists kept up the Modern Sky momentum. The Tea Street Band and No Hot Ashes both got Constellations dancing, Calva Louise brought a storm amongst the sunshine of Brick Street Garden, and SPINN led the Main Stage in a massive sing-a-long of their signature indie-pop tunes!
