Don't miss Biloxi Blues, continuing this weekend!

Critics and audiences are loving our final production of the 2018-2019 season, Biloxi Blues by Neil Simon, directed by Sam Hack.

Mark Bretz of Ladue News writes "the middle piece of Neil Simon's Eugene trilogy is given an effective and affecting presentation in Clayton Community Theatre's current production under artistic director Sam Hack's gentle direction...it's a pleasure to take advantage of the opportunity to see CCT's engaging presentation...the cast of Biloxi Blues succeeds in carrying the audience back to a time and place increasingly forgotten in the 21st century." Bob Wilcox and Jerry Kowarsky of Two on the Aisle say "it's a very strong cast responding to Sam Hack's intelligent direction." Watch the full review here

Richard Green of Talkin' Broadway writes "this comedy is, by turns, both funny and scorching...Patrick Blanner is outstanding as the Simon-like character Eugene Morris Jerome..." Read the full review here

This well-known play, the second in Simon's semi-autobiographical "Eugene trilogy," centers on Eugene's observations of the contest of wills between his drill sergeant and an intellectual recruit at an Army base in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1943. Along the way, he loses his innocence in many ways. It is both a reflection on prejudice and people's reaction to prejudice, and also hilariously funny from beginning to end. Biloxi Blues is the winner of multiple Tony awards. CCT plans to complete the Eugene trilogy with Broadway Bound next season.

The cast of Biloxi Blues includes:

Patrick Blanner as Eugene Morris Jerome, reprising his role after winning a Theatre Mask Award for playing this character last season in CCT's Brighton Beach Memoirs, the first play in the Eugene trilogy.

Sam Guillemette as Roy Selridge, making his CCT debut

Jeremy Schnelt as Donald Carney, making his CCT debut.

Michael Bouchard as Arnold Epstein, known to CCT audiences from his role as Bo Decker in last season's Bus Stop

Jack Lehmann as Joseph Wykowski, making his CCT debut.

Jeff Struckhoff as Sgt. Merwyn J. Toomey, known to CCT audiences from Bus StopA View from the Bridge, and others.

Gregory Savel as James Hennesey, known to CCT audiences from Macbeth.

Annie Valuska as Rowena, making her CCT debut.

Amanda Crawford as Daisy Hannigan, making her CCT debut.
