1: A Timeline of U.S. History used by students to review for their upcoming AP U.S. History exam
It's AP season! As part of our commitment to college prep and rigorous academics, we prepare our boys for a wide range of AP exams; this year 12 boys will be taking 32 exams spanning 7 subjects including Psychology, U.S. History, Calculus, and more. And, of course, it's not just about how many tests you take but how well you do: SCY High's average score for the last two years in Math and Sciences is a 4!
2: Rabbi Reich and his Chumash students celebrating the completion of a particularly challenging unit of study
At SCY High, Torah study is about more than just facts and figures - it's about love and passion. Torah is a way of life and we want to ensure that our students love life and live it with a sense of passion and excitement for Judaism and Torah.
3: Elie Kemp, Harrison Wechsler, and Yekusiel Paley making a presentation about Israeli History as part of our annual Yom Ha'Atzmaut program
Each year, the Judaic department and Hebrew Language department team up to create an engaging and educational Yom Ha'Atzmaut "color war" style activity. During the half-day program, our boys learn about Israeli History, life in Israel, and why Yom Ha'Atzmaut is such a significant day in our collective history.
4: Ilan Horn and Amiel Paley decorating the SCY High lobby for our annual Yom Ha'Atzmaut Communal Celebration and Tefillah
The week of Yom Ha'Atzmaut is always filled with excitement and special programs. As part of that process, we empowered our boys to get creative and design the decor for our community celebration. This not only fostered leadership and teamwork, but also gave our boys the chance to take pride in their campus and think about how they would share their excitement with the broader community. Thank you to all those who attended and to the boys and volunteers who made the evening so beautiful!
