Hi <<First Name>>,
Tomorrow is IDAHOT, the day we shine a light on the damage, pain, injustice, and costs of prejudice and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. One of GLOBE's objectives is to safeguard against discrimination at the OECD, and we are increasing our efforts to remind people that this work is never done.
Here's what we're doing:
- We have secured the support of 20+ Directors and Deputy Secretaries General for a promotional slideshow at the 'red chairs' café in the OECD Conference Centre.
- We have emailed all staff and permanent delegations to inform them about our initiative.
- We drafted the Secretary General's annual message reminding everyone of the OECD's policy of non-discrimination.
Here's what you can do:
- IDAHOT is our 'rainbow day' at work! If you have a rainbow lanyard from GLOBE, wear it with pride, especially on Friday 17 May! We also invite you to wear one or more colours from the rainbow flag. Don't have a rainbow lanyard yet? Email us to get one!
- Become a full member of GLOBE by joining online! Membership costs just €10 per calendar year, and is invaluable to the effectiveness and impact of GLOBE's work.
Thank you so much for your support, and we look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow.
Proudly,
The GLOBE Board
