Designed for policymakers as well as private company executives, Behavioral Skills for Public Policy Leadership helps participants to better understand their local context and apply behavioral principles to support decision-making. Created in collaboration with Strathmore Institute of Public Policy and Governance, this course combines theory with practice: we refer to real-life case studies based on research we have conducted or participated in.
This course is designed for:
Policymakers in central and county governments across Africa who seek to better understand their local context
Private company executives who want to apply behavioral principles to support decision-making
NGO officials involved in policy making
Development finance institutions (World Bank, IMF, African Development Bank)
Attendees typically have a range of backgrounds, from Governance, to Finance, to Retail, to Consulting and Academia.
This course is designed with in-class exercises to apply the theory covered in lectures, and culminates in a full day at the Busara Lab where participants run an experiment from start to finish; collecting data and designing an intervention to encourage behavior change.
