The Schwäbischer Albverein is ready for the 50th ERA conference. The delegates of walking organisations accross Europe are cordially invited to Bad Urach (D) from the 17 - 20 October 2019.

It was on Sunday - 19 October 1969 that the chairmen of eight walking clubs from five European countries met in the "Nägelhaus" which belongs to the Swabian Alb Club. It was to become a historic day as the representatives of these walking clubs founded the “European Ramblers Association” (ERA). Their aim was: “Walking without Frontiers".
The Schwabischer Albverein and the European Ramblers Association invites you to the 50^th ERA celebration, a public ceremony, taking place on Sunday,  20 October 2019 just in Nägelehaus, Raichberg, nearby Stuttgart (D). The invitation is here.
The delegates of the ERA conference can travel the short distance between Bad Urach and Nägelehaus and take part in the festive act after the conference. To get more useful information concerning the transfer and extra night's accommodation, please contact the organisers.

First of all, the organisers would like to invite to this meeting the members of ERA and anybody else who would like to visit Transylvania and to get to know one of its regions and would be interested in establishing connections with the local community and their traditions.

European Winter Walking Days 2020 in St. Johann in Tirol
From 5 to 8 March 2020, the European Winter Walking Days are being held in the Kitzbühel Alps (D). This event will provide an excellent opportunity to participate in guided winter hiking tours where you will see special places and highlights of the region. The winter walking trails are very well groomed and the guest card St. Johann Card permits free use of buses and trains in St. Johann in Tirol, Oberndorf, Kirchdorf, Erpfendorf, Waidring, St. Ulrich, St. Jakob, Fieberbrunn, Hochfilzen, Going, Ellmau and Kitzbühel areas.
