3B Learns How to Give Constructive Criticism
By: Sruel Twerski
Rabbi Perlman made a Rosh Chodesh activity for the third to eighth grade boys to teach us how to give constructive criticism. We had bandannas, a coffee cup, and a ping pong ball. We put the ping pong ball on the upside down coffee cup which was on the bandanna, and you had to make the ball fall off the cup, put it inside the cup in a certain way, and then make the cup stand up. It was kind of hard and fun trying to figure out how to do it. The first time we did it everyone was yelling at people for not doing the right thing that they were saying. Then the second time we were much more successful. The groups who succeeded were able to explain how to do it in a nice way.
Girls Rosh Chodesh Activiy
In honor of Rosh Chodesh Iyar, the GO broke out the Sisters Program. This is a wonderful program pairing the older girls with younger ones. This is an appropriate program to take place during the days of Sefiras HaOmer, prompting Achdus amongst the girls. Yasher Koach!
First grade is learning about life cycles with Mrs. Lohr.  They set up a tent in their classroom so it would be dark and they could candle their eggs and see how the chicks are growing.  The students are waiting excitedly for the chicks to hatch!
PI in 5G
By: Yochi Robbins and Rachel Kramer
On Tuesday, the fifth grade girls were discussing PI on the white board, when we noticed the idea of how to get PI was wrong. We ran around the school asking staff what divided by what equals PI? These are some of the answers we got.
"22 divided by 7."
"PI divided by 1."
"PI squared divided by PI."
"77 over 7."
And some said, "I don't know."
If you have any other answers, please email Mrs. Aronow at kopu98@gmail.com
First Grade made "Ohr VaChoshech" (black and white) cookies when they finished learning the first day of Creation in Chumash! May learning Torah always be sweet for them!

     Federation Walk for Israel
On Sunday, May 19, the Milwaukee Jewish Federation will be holding its annual Walk for Israel. This year the Federation has gone out of their way and spent money to make this event welcoming to the Frum community. There will be no live music and the food will be under mashgiach’s supervision. It will be a tremendous Kiddush Hashem, and expression of our Hakoras Hatov, for our community to show up en masse for the solidarity walk.
