Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 3:13-14

Band Camp Info
FOR HIGH SCHOOL ONLY - UNL Marching Camp: Sections for Drum Majors, Drum Line, Leadership, Marching Fundamentals, and Flag Squad. Incoming Freshmen thru Outgoing Seniors. https://www.unl.edu/band/cornhusker-summer-marching-band-camp
FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL ONLY - UNL Middle School Camp: Concert Band (sitting down) not Marching Band. Incoming 6th graders to Finishing 8th graders. https://www.unl.edu/band/middle-school-band-camp.
FOR GRADES 7-12 - UNO Jazz Camp: You'll be placed with a group of people at your same ability level - so if you're JUST LEARNING to improve, you won't have to be in a group with people who are already awesome at it. Also, you'll have a time each day with only students who play your instrument....for example, all the piano players will go together to learn how to read chords and notation. This is a HIGHLY recommended camp. Ask for a discount. https://www.unomaha.edu/college-of-communication-fine-arts-and-media/music/community-engagement/jazz-camp.php
UNK Sounds of Summer Marching Camp and UNL Jazz Camp -  More info to come.
Also, for ANYONE: taking summer private lessons is a great idea. If you feel a bit behind and want to get caught up, this is a great way to do it. Or, if you want to improve and "get ahead", Mrs. Bond can help you find a great teacher to help you! Just ask!

1,000 Towels - Grades 7 and 8 are organizing a towel collection for the People City Mission. Their goal is to collect 1000 “towels" between May 13 - May 17. If the students reach the goal, they get to wear “sports shorts” for the last week of school. The Homeroom with the most towels per person will have a donut party on May 20 as well. The People City Mission can use any size towel/ washcloth in any condition as they give away those in good condition and recycle those that are used. If you'd like to contribute, please give your towels to a student in grades 7 or 8 and they will be turned in to the Homeroom teachers by May 17.
