Weekly Spotlight

AireHealth Wins Rise of the Rest Pitch Competition Last Week

AireHealth, an Orlando startup addressing care management and drug delivery for respiratory illnesses via a connected-portable nebulizer, won the Rise of the Rest Pitch Competition at the Cheyenne Salon and Opera House last week.  Stacie Ruth, pitching for AireHealth, and her cofounders Jason Eichenholz and Scott Faris, took home the $100K check from Revolution's Rise of the Rest Seed Fund.

Stacie opened her pitch saying this is every mother's nightmare and then played the audio of a child having an asthma attack.  She then showed her connected portable nebulizer solution which is FDA-cleared, smaller, and more efficient than the competition.  Demonstrating a large and growing market and initial traction, she then ended by answering convincingly every judges' question (and objection).  Clearly she had the best investable opportunity on the stage that evening.  Steve Case told the Orlando Business Journal, "AireHealth was solving a big problem with a solution that has been developed and has gone through the FDA process. It's ready for market." Congrats Stacie Ruth and the rest of the AireHealth team!
