Teacher Appreciation Week Is This Week
The PTA is buying lunch, breakfast and small gifts. We would love to do more but need your help.

You can donate by sending money to school, dropping it in PTA box or PayPal through the donate button on our site or use PayPal email President@hayhurstpta.org.

Let’s show our teachers and support staff how much we appreciate all their hard work and encourage them in these the last few weeks of school. It’s gotta be hard to keep minds focused when the sun is shining finally :)

Call for Volunteers + Save the Date: Hayhurst Spring Book Fair (May 20-24)

The Scholastic Book Fairs raise funds for our school library. We are fortunate to have a supportive community participating in every fair, buying books and fun items for the kids.

We need lots of help to make the Spring Book Fair work! Lou, the Hayhurst parent alumni who’s been helping us with the fair, is not available this time, so if you can help, please do!

The Fair runs from May 20th-24th with set-up on Friday, May 17th and packing up on the afternoon of May 24th. Specifically, we’ll need extra help with the cash registers this time.

If you’re available to help with prep work, we need someone starting just about now. This will be once a week for an hour or more to help with the pre-fair stuff like putting up posters, getting the fliers ready to go home, etc.

If you can help, please get in touch with Laura Jones at the Hayhurst Library (503-916-6300 x70512).

The next PTA meeting is on Tuesday, May 7th, 6:30-8:00 PM at the school library. All are welcome. Only PTA members can vote.

Our Kids Choir performs is this evening, May 7th, 6:30-7:00 PM at Odyssey auditorium (1849 SW 58th Ave).

Come and support our Hayhurst and Odyssey songbirds! 

Admission is free

Save the Date: End-of-the-year Hayhurst Hullabaloo on June 7
Meet us on the playground for some end-of-the-year fun!

Water slide, Bouncy house, Games & Activities

Hot dogs, chips, & drinks – $3.00

Day Care Available for Camp Fire Students
This is a special Full Day program being offered to current Camp Fire families only.

Pre-Registration is required. Drop-ins will not be allowed.

Intramurals Make Up Class On Thursday, May 9th
Last week was our last week of intramurals.

We will have a makeup intramural for all grade levels in Thursday, May 9th from 2:15-3:15 PM. 

It was a fun year for all! Thanks for joining us!

Mother's Day Flower Sale Fundraiser at the School - Pick Up Flowers On May 10
Once again, Larina Holland and Renata Adamidov are putting together a fundraiser flower sale at the school for Mother's day.

They will have flowers in front of the school after school on Friday May 10th. Please send your pre-orders if you know you will want some flowers that day.

Restaurant Event at Pizzicato On May 14
Join us Tuesday, MAY 14 at 🍕 PIZZICATO 🍕 in Hillsdale to earn money for our school.

Money raised provides for all kids to attend class field trips. Dine in or take out, 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM.
