Sign up: Christian Aid Lunch +  Donation Envelopes

To mark the start of Christian Aid week, come and hear Tim Burdon (Christian Aid's Regional Coordinator - Durham, Darlington and Teesside) share about his recent experience in Burundi at 1pm this Sunday. A simple soup, cake and fruit lunch will be provided. Donations to Christian Aid are welcome. Please email the office  by 12pm Friday if you plan to attend.

Volunteers are needed to distribute donation envelopes to houses within the parish during Christian Aid Week 12th – 18th May. This year there is no need to collect the envelopes as people are asked to return them to Gateway shop. This makes the whole process much easier and less daunting so please do consider if you are able to give out the envelopes. Envelopes will be available on Sunday for collection.

May Week of Mission

Join us for a week of outreach to Durham during half term at the end of May! The St Nics ministry team (university students, ministry interns and staff) will be joined by a small group of university students from the U.S. who will be helping us with a week-long mission from 27 – 31 May, to share the love of Christ with families and young adults just outside St Nics doors in the marketplace. There will be fun activities for kids every day, plus a series of social and faith-based talks in the evening. We’re really expectant and excited for the people who we’ll have an opportunity to share the Gospel with during the week, and can’t wait to see what God is going to do in the heart of our city.
But, we need your help! Are you passionate about Christ, love families and want to help our ministry team during the week? If so, can you commit to praying in the few weeks leading up to this mission? Also, if you’re interested in helping out by working with kids during the day or assisting at our evening events, please get in touch by emailing the church office. Even if you aren’t able to volunteer, we’d still love to extend an invitation for you to bring your family to St Nics during the day to take part in the family activities, or by showing up to the evenings.

Before our week of mission, let's spend 24 hours praying specifically for the week's activities and opportunities to share Christ's love with families and students. We will have the Youth Centre from 9am May 25th - 9am 26th May open for prayer. All are welcome to pray-- help us plan, and click here to sign up for an hour slot.
