2. To spot this month: keep an eye out for the Grey Mining bee 

This is one of our most common solitary bee species. It is a spring species and will generally be seen between March- June. It makes its nest by mining into bare soil. If you spot it please submit a record: https://records.biodiversityireland.ie/record/solitary-bees#7/53.455/-8.016

Burren in Bloom is an amazing festival that happens each June. This year we are thrilled to collaborate with the festival which will have a special focus on pollinators. There will be a wide range of events across the weekend. Hope to see some of you there!
