Hello Friends, I hope this finds you well!
I am getting in touch to let you know about week-long summer ukulele classes at Haliburton School of Art and Design. This is a fun way to kickstart your ukulele playing, with classes that can accommodate all levels from beginner up to advanced players. There are still spots left, and we would love if you could join us! More details below.
I also wanted to give you advance notice that I will be performing with my fellow ukulele instructor Brenna MacCrimmon on Thursday, July 4 in the Great Hall at the School of Art and Design. The concert is FREE!

Ukulele Classes at Haliburton School of Art and Design
There are two weeks of classes at Haliburton School of Art and Design, taught by myself and the wonderful Brenna MacCrimmon. Each class run Monday - Friday from 9 am - 4:30 pm (don't worry there are plenty of breaks!). Each week we have two classes running at the same time.
Week one consists of a beginner class and an intermediate class. These classes focus on reading music notation (notes on the staff) and playing in a group. We will be picking instrumentals as well as strumming and singing some fun songs.
Week two of the ukulele program is called "Ukulele Orchestra." This is run as two classes but the focus will be on playing pieces all together as an ensemble, with easier and harder parts. We will be using written music notation and playing a range of material, including classical, pop, folk and more.
Note that we can accommodate baritone ukuleles in the Ukulele Orchestra, but not in the week one classes.
