Hey Drifta Fans,
DFCE Gloucester is coming up again soon ! Got a well established camp event running now, heaps of room to camp, beautiful location, right next to the gorgeous Cobark River, all flat grassed areas, camping heaven : ) 20 min from Gloucester, at the foothills of the Barrington Tops, so plenty places to explore during the day..
We have music playing Fri / Sat nights, with one man sensation Brendan Hervey , (works for Drifta building draws : ) he’s quickly become a highlight of our Fans camping events, and sitting under the stars , behind a firepit, listening to Brendan play his tunes is really a special moment : )
Looks like Brad will be there cooking 8 hour pulled pork over coals.. Brad works for Beechy, doing draw orders, so you can chat to him about a draw fitout while watching the charcoal do it’s thing.. : )
Roman is back ! With his awesome wife Lucy, so they will be doing some celebrity chef cooking during the weekend.. : )
Jake is back again, so he’ll be there, and you might be able to catch up with our latest member of the Drifta family, his gorgeous little boy Maxi : )
We’re having a small pop up shop this time, under a hexa tarp, so a few items will be available for sale at the event, charcoal, some fire pits, etc, a few of the popular common items we have stock of.. we didn’t want to make this a commercial event at all, but after lots of requests and feedback, we thought we’ll try to have a few items to look at , touch and feel or purchase.. there is no service at the camp ground so we’ll just write down in a book any purchases, and sort out later in the week : )
Drifta HQ factory will be open, both Sat 9-3, and Sunday 10 - 2, so welcome to come along for a tour by one of Drifta staff, or also browse our shop, and most items will be available to purchase from our store/ distpatch. Also Friday is a work day, so welcome to drop in on your way to the camp ground, for a look, a tour, or to pick up some goods : )
Gloucester tourist info will be at the camp ground again, they were very popular last year, so great to chat to them about things to do and see in the wonderful Glouceaster area..
We’ll have a camp boss, in the center area, all wknd, for anyone with questions during the wknd..
My new DOT 6 WUHT will be there , for anyone wanting a look thru, and also Beechy’s new WUHT Family DOT will also be there, so perfect time to check out these two trailers, and there will be heaps of other DOTS there, so yeah great chance to look at everything that Drifta sells, both from ourselves, and also the many campers with our gear.. its such a great event to mingle, check out other peoples camps, gear, and sticky beak/ ask questions/ get tips, which is much of what camping is about lol.. as everyone is part of the Drifta Family, it’s a unique opportunity to get to know awesome people, and look at a huge variety of camp setups.. : )
As before toilets, showers are provided.. firewood is available to purchase.. the event is run not for profit, it actually costs us money in the end : ) but yeah getting enough toilets from Newcastle to a paddock , showers, and firewood is a big job, half the cost of the event is straight camp fees, and the other half is basically for the toilets.. there is 4 showers, so best if you are self sufficient, but yeah there are hot showers set up for anyone who needs them : ) think we went thru 12 tonne of firewood last year, so we’ve got plenty available on site, we can deliver as before, and also collect rubbish from your camp : )
Also, as a reminder, Dogs are welcome to bring, but must be on a lease as there are wallaby’s, horses and cattle in the paddocks where we camp..
