A New Day Dawns: From Trouble to Triumph

As much as we'd like to anticipate lives that are always smooth and easy, that's not the experience for most people. In a world damaged by sin, troubles can and will come - one could say they are normal. But as our good shepherd, our risen Savior shows us that a new day dawns as he leads us through these troubles to eventual triumph in heaven. Worship at St. John's this weekend is based on Ezekiel 34:25-31 (First Lesson).

Readings to prepare for worship:
Ezekiel 34:25-31 - The good shepherd promises permanent protection and triumph over trouble.
Revelation 7:9-17 - The Lamb—our shepherd—will bring us out of the trouble of this world to triumph in heaven.
John 10:22-30 - Jesus promises that his sheep will overcome trouble and will triumph in eternal life.

Happy Mother's Day! See you at worship!
