Construction underway at John Dee
Construction is underway at the John Dee Cold Storage Facility in Warwick. Making the right infrastructure investments, like $4.8 million for this project, grows local economies.

This expansion:
  • Protects the 630 existing jobs, creates 143 new full-time jobs and 138 indirect new full-time jobs.
  • Employs 80 people during the construction phase.
  • Create export opportunities valued at $111 million.

St George is an ideal site on the Balonne River with the Beardmore Dam nearby.
This will give native fish the best chance of survival when released and let them move through the river network easily. Another fish hatchery will be opened in Menindee.
