OPENING PLENARY SESSION
The Opening Plenary session speech will be given by the EHMA President, Prof. Federico Lega, University of Milan. The notion of Health 2.0 is not a new one and represents the situation health system are facing as they move into the heart of the 21stCentury, where the pace, nature and loci of healthcare is increasingly subject to dynamic, rapid and unpredictable change. Driven by the personalisation agenda and fuelled by developments within the digital health and life sciences sectors, the talk will be dedicated to how health management practice can best adapt to these changing times. Health Management 2.0 is an extremely important topic as we move forward and make the shift happen: let’s talk with our panel about drivers and resistors, best practices and inspiring examples at EHMA 2019.

Dedicated session organized by the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies. 
“Leading change in healthcare eco-system: are you in or are you out?”
During this interactive session the panel of experts will discuss with the audience the systems and organizational governance at European, national, regional and local levels. The discussion will focus on the skills and competencies required to deliver effective governance and the means by which health system governance can be established.

"Climate and energy smart healthcare" organized by Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare.
This session will focus on solutions and work procedures that can be implemented to improve energy efficiency and reduce climate gas emissions from healthcare activities.

"The Digital Health Agenda: Are you a winner or a loser?
The interactive session will touch upon the impact of technological change in the hospitals, primary care organizations and home settings. Alongside the panel and the audience will debate about the use of big data, “open healthcare” and electronic health records in particular, AI. We will also assess the winners and losers from digital transformation.

“Measuring” competencies and practices: competency based approach to Health Management programs by IHF
This session will focus on:

  • IHF’s presentation on competency based approach and the latest developments
  • How should the competencies be acquired?
  • Share experiences on competency based curriculum and identifying best practices
  • “Measuring” competencies and practices: where do we stand and perspectives ahead.
