Dear Chapter Friends and Members,
We have a very special After Hours meeting set for Friday, May 17. Dr. Laura Wazen, who has always provided amazing direction for us on balance issues and one of the most popular speakers at our chapter will be speaking at 5 PM in a private room at Bravo’s Coastal Bar & Kitchen with CART support. Since she has spoken at the chapter in over 3 years and we are overdue for her guidance. Falls are the leading cause of serious injuries for people over 60 and if you suffer from hearing loss you are more likely to have balance issues now or in your future, so you don’t want to miss this talk if you can make it. This meeting will be followed by an HLAA Happy Hour a little after 6 PM. We need anyone who plans to come to RSVP to make sure we put enough seats out for all who are coming.
I know some of you were expecting Dr. Jack Wazen speaking one May 17. He will be called to a special meeting in Baltimore that night, but the good news is he was able to switch dates in our After Hours schedule for the year with his wife Laura and will address the After Hours audience on Wednesday, November 20.

Meetings are always open to the community. Individual mentoring and support sessions are available for anyone in need at no cost.
