Roger Bloss to launch cannabis wellness hotel
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, Calif. — Roger Bloss, the entrepreneur who grew Vantage Hotels from zero to 1,000 hotels in 15 years, has announced his cannabis wellness hotel brand, Coachill, with the first one opening in California next year.
 
 
Tulips and tapping an underserved market
OTTAWA, Ont. — Tulips are everywhere at the dual-branded Homewood Suites/Hilton Garden Inn that recently opened in Ottawa downtown, from the gardens at the front of the hotel to etchings on glassware and tulip-shaped salt vessels. The Homewood side taps an underserved extended stay market, and is Hilton's 30th extended stay property in Canada.

ATLANTA — Holiday Inn Express's new breakfast includes real eggs and fresh-cooked bacon. In Canada, the new breakfast kicked off by having hockey greats Doug Gilmour and Guy Carbonneau use the ingredients to show off their culinary skills. 
 
 
Summit had stellar program, lakeside location

TORONTO — Statistics Canada released a report last week saying that just 19.4 per cent of corporate board members are women and 57 per cent of boards have no female members. With such discouraging numbers, this years Women in Tourism and Hospitality Summit to be held May 26-27 is especially timely.

Crescita/First Nation team up on Tru Yarmouth
