Everyone has a story. Some stories are longer and more involved than others.
To open ourselves to listening to someone’s story is one of the greatest gifts we can give, because to listen – to really listen is to love.
And the thing with loving people is that it works in the opposite way to the kind of economic model we’re used to. Our love and acceptance of others is what leads us eventually to love and acceptance of ourselves. The more we give away, the more we receive. The more we listen to others, the more we come to understand ourselves.
