The sun is beginning to shine and the skylarks are singing across the farm, so spring is definitely here.
The boys have been out exploring with visitors and are enjoying the new grass and dandelions that they are finding down the lane. This year we have also sown some grass borders around the edges of our fields, so later this summer we will be able to introduce some new walking routes to keep them entertained.
The walks will take us past our fields of wheat and barley, and also new areas of nectar and pollen flowers. These have been planted as part of the Countryside Stewardship Scheme to encourage and support pollinators. I am sure our bees will be first in the queue!
